Crescent One Design Regatta
Calling all sailors! Don't miss the chance to compete in the first-ever Crescent Sail Yacht Club One Design Regatta (Crescent ODR) on June 15-16, 2024. This event is open to any one design fleet, whether you have a Laser, a Catamaran, J70, Nonsuch, or anything in between.
You'll enjoy two days of exciting racing on Lake St. Clair, with two separate courses run by expert race officers Matt Bounds and Champ Glover. Both have years of experience, so you can trust them to set up the courses efficiently and run the races effectively.
But its not all about the racing. You'll also have a blast at our social events. The boat rigging party on Friday will be rounded off by bonfire, music, and beer. On Saturday, after a full day of sailing, you'll be treated to a delicious dinner for sailors at a discount. On Sunday, before racing, you'll witness a true Crescent tradition: the Blessing of the Fleet. Finally, after racing at the awards ceremony we will feed you, so you don't have to drive home hungry.
This is more than just a regatta. Its a celebration of sailing, friendship, and fun. So bring your boat, your crew, and your family and friends, and join us for a memorable weekend on the water. For those not sailing there will be plenty of opportunities to watch the action from shore or from members boats.

For club members, this is a great opportunity to earn work hours and show your hospitality. We are looking for hosts to offer housing to our out-of-town guests and make them feel welcome. We also plan to have a few spectator boats available for non-sailing friends and families who want to watch the racing from the water.
